Automator 6.10: Expanded Functionality for WooCommerce, EDD, ACF, and More

The Uncanny Automator 6.10 release brings deeper integration with your favorite apps and plugins. More triggers, more actions, more time-savings.

While previous updates brought new integrations and broad platform support, Automator 6.10 focuses on deeper functionality. This is all about enhancing how you use your existing integrations to build smarter, more flexible workflows.

This release introduces new triggers, actions, tokens, and conditions across some of our most popular integrations: WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, Advanced Custom Fields, and more.

We’ve also added a new UI feature that gives recipe builders more control—and a little more joy—when managing complex automations.

Other tools out there crank out new integrations and then never revisit them. But we’re focused on bringing deep, cross-platform automations that actually handle the nuances of your workflows.

Here’s what’s new in 6.10.

Label Your Triggers and Actions (Automator Lite + Pro)

If you’ve ever wished for a way to distinguish between similar triggers or actions in a recipe, you’re going to love this:

Automator 6.10 adds a custom label field to every trigger and action.

You can now label recipe components however you like—for clarity, internal notes, or just for fun.

  • Have two WooCommerce order triggers? Label them “First-time buyer” and “Repeat customer.”
  • Multiple OpenAI or Gemini messages in one recipe? Label them “Generate title” and “Generate summary”.
  • Want to label an action “Send love letter”? That’s between you and your CRM.

This feature is available in both Automator Lite and Pro.

New Actions in Automator Lite

Two new actions make their debut in Automator Lite:

  • ActiveCampaign – Delete a contact that matches an email
  • Help Scout – Add a note to a conversation

The ActiveCampaign action was included to make your GDPR and CCPA compliance workflows that much easier.

The Help Scout action is also support-focused, meant to enhance your ability to respond to tickets and build customer profiles not just automatically, but accurately.

More Power for Pro Users

New Triggers:

  • Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
    • A sub field in a group field is updated
    • A sub field in a group field is updated to a specific value
  • Easy Digital Downloads (Recurring Payments)
    • A user’s subscription to a price option of a download renews
    • A user’s subscription to a price option of a download expires
  • Easy Digital Downloads (Software Licensing)
    • A user’s license for a download is disabled
  • WooCommerce
    • A coupon is created
    • An order is created

These additions help you respond to product activity, licensing events, and field updates with pinpoint accuracy. Tie these together with your new ActiveCampaign action and you’ll have a seamless integration for marketing workflows.

New Action:

  • WooCommerce – Create a simple product
This opens the door to auto-generating products based on form submissions, file imports, custom field entries, or third-party integrations.

New Condition:

  • FluentCRM – User belongs/does not belong to a list
This new condition lets you target or exclude contacts from specific campaigns, ensuring segmented, personalized automations.

New Possibilities

Automator 6.10 unlocks some powerful new use cases by expanding how you can work with WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, and ACF.

WooCommerce: Create Products and Automate Store Setup

With the new “Create a simple product” action, you can now dynamically generate WooCommerce products based on user input or external data sources. For example:

  • Auto-generate listing products from front-end submission forms.
  • Create a personalized product (custom artwork, coaching session, etc.) when a new user registers or completes a specific action on your site.
  • Add internal products to staging/test environments during a deployment workflow.

Pair this with the new “Order is created” trigger or “Coupon is created” to notify teams, update spreadsheets, or sync to external platforms.

Easy Digital Downloads: Subscription and Licensing Events

Recurring and licensed products are core to many digital product businesses (like ours). These new triggers allow you to:

  • Change user roles and access levels when a license is disabled to keep your paywalled content, well, walled.
  • Send a feedback survey or offer when a subscription expires to get more immediate and actionable feedback.
  • Generate a thank-you message or renewal bonus when a user renews a subscription (because it’s always important to show that you care).

This is especially helpful for businesses offering downloadable software, memberships, or premium content.

ACF: Field-Level Precision for Dynamic Workflows

These are probably some of the most exciting new capabilities that the 6.10 release brings.

With the new ACF triggers, you can now automate workflows based on sub field changes inside group fields—giving you much more granular control over content and user management.

Some use cases include:

  • Trigger an action when a “review status” sub field is updated to “approved”.
  • Add a user to a group or send a notification when a custom field like “Account type” changes.
  • Update user or post metadata or sync with third-party tools based on changes to embedded field data.

These additions are ideal for developers and site owners using flexible content architectures with ACF. (And that’s basically all of us, isn’t it?)

Keep Automating!

Automator 6.10 might not introduce flashy new integrations—but it delivers something just as important: more power where it matters most.

While we’re always excited to announce new integrations, we’re just as excited about deepening the integrations between the apps and plugins that you already use.

By expanding support for WooCommerce, EDD, ACF, and your existing workflows, this release gives you more control, more flexibility, and more creative options for your automations.

We hope you’re enjoying saving time and cutting back on costs!

Until next time, happy automating!
