Plugin Showcase: Uncanny Codes 4.0 for WordPress

Last week the team behind Uncanny Automator released a major update to our Uncanny Codes plugin, with a particular focus on Automator integration. In the past Uncanny Codes was a dedicated LearnDash add-on, but rather than build new integrations for it, we knew it would be far more useful when tightly connected to Automator.

Unlimited code redemption options for WordPress

What we ended up releasing is perhaps the most powerful code generation and redemption system for WordPress that can now use codes to unlock almost anything across over 50 WordPress plugins and apps. Wondering what you can do with codes? Here are a few examples:

  • Sell user accounts. Uncanny Codes supports selling codes with WooCommerce and code redemption when users register. This means you could sell 100 codes to a single user that they then distribute and have their staff or students redeem to set up accounts and get access to memberships, courses and more.
  • Share promotional content. Distribute a code to schools, prospects, textbook purchasers, attendees at a trade show. When redeemed, grant the user access to a video, register them in a Zoom webinar, tag them in a CRM. If Automator can support it, it can be triggered with code redemption.
  • Reward or acknowledge achievement. If a user attends a live event, give them a code that autocompletes the equivalent online training so they can print a certificate and record the completion.

These are just a few examples of ways you can connect code redemption to Automator action, but there are many others, from changing WordPress roles and controlling group access to granting badges and letting users retake a course.

Easy code generation and redemption

Uncanny Codes makes it easy to set up and redeem codes. For every code batch, the following

Connects with popular form plugins

Once codes are redeemed, an easy way to redeem them is essential. Besides built-in form, Uncanny Codes integrates with Gravity Forms, WPForms and Formidable Forms. All offer easy ways for users to redeem codes either during registration or at any time by signed in users. The plugin adds a convenient “Uncanny Codes” field to form builders to make it simple.

Selling codes with WooCommerce

Distributing codes that trigger Uncanny Automator actions is easy. Once codes have been generated, Uncanny Codes adds a new product type that, when purchased, assigns the number of purchased codes to the order and sends them to the purchaser by email. Codes and their redemption status can also be viewed, downloaded and tracked right from inside the WooCommerce My Account page.

Uncanny Automator integration

With Uncanny Codes and Automator both installed, any Automator actions at all can be linked to code redemption. The integration supports the free version of Uncanny Automator, but certainly the Pro version adds the most redemption options. This means hundreds of code redemption actions are available, and since multiple actions can be linked to a single code redemption, there are endless possibilities.
