GamiPress, MemberPress, Popup Maker and More!

Today's release of Uncanny Automator 1.2 (both Lite and Pro) comes with lots of new triggers and actions. Users of any licenses can download the updates automatically through your LearnDash site to start using our new support for GamiPress, MemberPress and Popup Maker. For anyone keeping count, that means Automator now supports 19 plugins plus WordPress core and Zapier!

Before we get started on some of the new additions, we have an important note for current Automator users: Update Lite first, then Pro. Pro needs to see that Lite 1.2 exists before it can be updated.

Now let's take a look at some of the changes in 1.2. Lite users, don't worry, there's a lot for you too!

GamiPress

Uncanny Automator's entrance into the gamification market opens up a lot of possibilities for eLearning and membership sites. The new GamiPress support in version 1.2 adds these powerful triggers:

  1. A user earns an achievement
  2. A user earns points
  3. A user attains a rank

There are some interesting recipe possibilities here, like users that achieve a particular rank could be added to a special group, membership level or even shown a pop-up with a particular coupon code.

Over on the actions side, we added another 3 new options:

  1. Award an achievement
  2. Award a rank
  3. Award points

These again allow a lot of really powerful new recipes. A purchase might add points to a user's account, or maybe an event registration awards a badge.

All 3 actions are included in the Lite plugin, but the 3 triggers all require a Pro license or higher.

MemberPress

On the trigger side, we're adding users purchasing a product (one-time or subscription purchases) for all Uncanny Automator users. So now a MemberPress purchase can add users to a LearnDash group, add a tag in Infusionsoft using WP Fusion, you name it. It opens up a lot of new integration possibilities for MemberPress users.

As for actions, Pro users gain the ability to add users to membership and remove users from memberships (all or a specific one). So, maybe a combination of WooCommerce purchases adds users to a membership level, or completing a series of certification courses removes users from a membership level.

Popup Maker

We'll say this up front: popups can be very useful and Uncanny Automator can really increase their utility, but setting up Popup Maker workflows requires a few extra steps. We try our best to keep Automator as simple as possible, but some plugin recipes do take a bit more effort to configure. So to go along with this addition we have also set up a new Knowledge Base article specific to Popup Maker.

The new action available for Popup Maker, which displays a popup, is only available to Pro users and higher.

But wait, there's more!

WordPress Core gets a new action in Pro: Remove a Role. With this action in recipes, you can remove a role from users that have multiple roles. Note that if a user only has a single role, that role will not be removed; users must always have at least one role.

Ninja Forms has a new Pro trigger for a user's form submission that contains a specific value. We're gradually adding this trigger to all form submissions, so if we don't support it yet for the form plugin you use, you'll probably see it soon!

Behind the scenes, we've also sanitized and cleaned up some functions to keep everything cleaner and issue-free.

With all that behind you, what are you waiting for? Update your Uncanny Automator plugins now to start using the new integrations in your recipes!

  1. This is very, very cool. Thank. I am still waiting for only two things:
    1) Triggers for Zapier
    2) Support WP-cron

    1. Hi Oleg,

Triggers for Zapier are unfortunately a 2.x project. The 1.x architecture cannot trigger recipes from anonymous calls, there must be an associated user, so there will unfortunately be a bit of a wait there.

And as for crons… We can’t promise anything, and if we do any development around those it won’t be for 2.x.
