New integrations: Google Contacts, Sendy, Thrive Architect & WooCommerce Bookings

Uncanny Automator 5.3 is now available! This free release of our no-code automation plugin for WordPress includes 4 new integrations. That’s not all; we also have new DALL-E 3 support for image generation, lots of other new features, and some behind-the-scenes upgrades for an incredible new feature in Automator Pro 5.3.

Let’s jump in to what’s new.

Google Contacts

Our app approval from Google arrived just in time to include in the 5.3 release, so we’re really excited to be able to include Google Contacts. As always, having a native Google app means that you can connect Automator to your Google account with 1-click, making it far easier to integrate than alternatives. Uncanny Automator 5.3 adds 3 new actions for Google Contacts:

  • Add a label to a contact
  • Create a contact
  • Create a label

With these new actions, you can have workflows that create new contacts when users purchase their first product, add a label to a contact when a user completes a course, create a new label when a group is created that you can map group members to, etc.

Thrive Architect

Thrive Architect is a popular page builder for WordPress, offering powerful drag-and-drop tools for designing engaging, responsive websites. It has also been a popular request for an Automator integration. Today’s 5.3 release adds these triggers:

  • A form is submitted
  • A user submits a form

The first is the Everyone recipe variation, the latter for Logged In recipe types. There are lots of use cases here, and to make use of other new 5.3 integrations, new Architect form submissions could add a contact to Google Contacts, add the contact to a Sendy list, or even update customer properties in Help Scout.

WooCommerce Bookings

Support for a Woo Bookings integration had been trending on our feature request board for about 2 months now, so we’re excited to announce the availability of this new integration. Automator 5.3 adds 1 new trigger: A booking is created. With it, you might link new bookings to contact records in your CRM, access to an online course before a booking takes place, perhaps even using the booking for social proof with a quick confirmation tweet.

Sendy

Sendy is a simple email marketing platform that supports detailed analytics and automation. As a low-cost option, we have had a number of requests for integration support, so 5.3 adds these new actions:

  • Add a contact to a list and update a contact in a list
  • Delete a contact from a list
  • Unsubscribe a contact from a list

Sendy works a bit differently than other CRMs, in that contact details are managed at the list level. That’s why contact details are added at the list level, and it’s why there are separate options for deleting vs. unsubscribing (unsubscribing keeps user data intact).

DALL-E 3 support

OpenAI recently announced several important changes to their API support, one of which was support for DALL-E 3 models. And not only did we add basic DALL-E support, but we added lots of new image options:

And the rest

Our Help Scout integration gains 1 new action: Update the properties of a customer. Maybe when a request comes in you want to add generic info from a form submission to the user’s profile, like a site URL or license type. This action would allow updating the properties that are shared across requests for a user.

StudioCart gets a new token for the payment option label, and WP Simple Pay gets new tokens for “price option” and “quantity”.

That’s it for the Uncanny Automator 5.3 release. Make sure to check out Automator Pro 5.3 for the new Post Loops announcement!
