Is the AI really free?

Yes. Free Uncanny Agent usage is included with your account to get you started, so you can try Agent and build pages with Uncanny Page Builder without paying anything. Paid plans add Monthly usage that refreshes every month, plus Anytime usage you can spend at any point in your plan year.

Do I need an OpenAI API key or a separate AI subscription?

No. Uncanny Agent runs on leading AI models that we select and manage for you — you never choose a model, configure a provider, or pay a model bill. There are no MCP servers to deal with either. Install the plugin, create your free account, and start chatting.
Uncanny Recipe Builder works differently, and deliberately: there you can connect your own AI provider — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini and more — for use inside your recipes.

What’s the difference between app credits and Uncanny Agent usage?

They’re two separate things, and your account comes with both. App credits are spent by app integration actions inside your recipes — one credit per action, 250 to start. Uncanny Agent usage is spent when Agent answers a question, completes a task, or builds a page.
Integrations with WordPress plugins, and webhooks, never use credits at all — those are unlimited on the free plugin.

Can I use Uncanny Page Builder on the site I already have?

Yes. Keep your theme and keep your plugins — Uncanny Page Builder works page by page, so you can redesign one landing page and leave the rest of your site exactly as it is. When it takes over an existing page, your original is saved automatically: switch back anytime and it’s restored exactly as it was, at the same address.

What happens to my pages if I stop using Uncanny Page Builder?

They keep working. Uncanny Page Builder outputs clean HTML and CSS rather than proprietary shortcodes, so your content and design stay intact even with the plugin deactivated. Sections that update themselves — a latest-posts list, for example — simply pause until the plugin is back. You can also download any page as a standalone web page and host it anywhere.

Do I stay in control of what Uncanny Agent does?

Yes. Uncanny Agent only acts when you ask it to — it doesn’t run on its own. When it builds or edits a page, its changes land on an unsaved draft rather than your live page, so your visitors see nothing until you save, and edits can be undone. If Page Builder takes over a page you already had, the original is saved automatically and you can restore it anytime.
