New integration: MailerLite

What would a big Uncanny Automator free release be without some exciting new Pro updates? Let’s hope we never find out!

Uncanny Automator Pro 4.8 is out with a new integration and over a dozen new triggers and actions. This will be our final major release of 2022, so consider this an early holiday gift with lots to keep you busy until January.

New integration: MailerLite

Before every quarter begins, we spend time planning our development priorities for Automator for that quarter. Part of this process includes reviewing feature requests, and MailerLite was our #1 customer-requested integration for Q4. We’re excited to now have it available.

MailerLite is a simple email marketing tool designed to grow your online business with email marketing and automations. Our initial integration adds the following actions:

• Add a subscriber to a group
• Create a group
• Remove a specific group
• Remove a subscriber from a group

With these new actions, you can do things like add contacts to a group when they register for an event, create a new group when a LearnDash group is created to map users to it, remove a subscriber from all groups when they submit a data removal request, etc.

More for WS Form LITE

Introduced  in Uncanny Automator 4.8, WS Form Lite is a powerful integration with 2 extra triggers for Pro users:

• A form is submitted with a specific value in a specific field
• A user submits a form with a specific value in a specific field

As with other form integrations, these are important triggers that allow you to target actions based on specific field values. When a user registers with a specific “Company” selection in a drop-down list, tag them to the associated group in MailerLite, LearnDash and BuddyBoss. Or maybe when a user submits an urgent Help Desk request, the “urgent” selection notifies your team in Slack immediately.

Other additions

Users of LearnDash Groups, we heard you loud and clear. We added 1 new trigger and 2 new actions:

• New trigger: A course is added to a group
• New action: Add a course to a group
• New action: Remove a course from a group

We had a few tickets this month that made us pause and realize that Automator had some gaps with group management. Now we don’t! Here are some specific examples of why these additions are important:

• Allow Group Leaders to add and remove courses from groups entirely on their own.
• Send a mail campaign to group members when a new course is added to a group.

WordPress Multisite users, we know, our approach to adding users to network/child sites using complicated meta values is cumbersome and confusing. That’s why Business and Agency license holders have a new action: Add the user to a subsite (or child site, or network site, or whatever you like to call it). With this new action, it’s super each to add a user to multiple network sites.

Rounding things out, WP All Import gets “An import fails” trigger, and WPForms gets a trigger for “A user submits a form with a specific value in a specific field with PayPal payment”.
