Every chat with Uncanny Agent is saved automatically, so you can pick up where you left off, look back at something Uncanny Agent did last week, or clear out conversations you no longer need. This article covers who can see conversations, how they are kept separate across sites, and how to open, search, rename, and delete them.
Who can see my conversations?
Once your Uncanny Automator license is active on a site, every administrator on that site can use Uncanny Agent. Conversations belong to the combination of site and license key, not to the person who started them, so if a site has several administrators they all see the same conversation list and can continue each other’s conversations.
The opposite is true across sites. If your license covers more than one site (Basic covers one site, Plus 10 and Elite 50), conversations stay on the site where they happened: administrators of one site cannot see conversations from another, and Uncanny Agent has no context from other sites, even when they share the same license key. This is what makes a single license workable for a developer, consultant, or agency running several client sites: each client uses Uncanny Agent on their own site, and no client sees another’s conversations.
Opening the conversation list
With Uncanny Agent open, click the menu icon in the top-left of the panel to open the conversation history sidebar. It lists your past conversations, most recent first.
Each conversation has a short title that Uncanny Agent generates from what you discussed, for example “Create LearnDash course” or “Customer lifetime value”. Click an entry to return to that conversation.
Starting a new conversation
Click + New conversation at the top of the sidebar. A new conversation begins with the welcome screen and the suggested prompts, as the first one did.
Start a new conversation when you change topics, for example when you have finished building a recipe and want to draft content. A focused conversation produces better results than a long one that mixes topics.
Searching past conversations
Use Search conversations above the list to find an older chat by keyword. The search matches conversation titles, which is enough to find “the one about HubSpot” three weeks later.
Renaming a conversation
If the generated title does not match how you think of the chat, hover over the conversation in the sidebar, click the three dots (•••), and click Rename. Type the new title and press Enter.
Deleting a conversation
Hover over the conversation, click the three dots (•••), and click Delete. Deletion is permanent: the conversation cannot be restored from the history. Only the chat record is removed. Anything Uncanny Agent created or changed on your site during the conversation, such as recipes or posts, stays as it is.
A note on retention
Uncanny Agent stores your conversations so you can refer back to past work and so it has better context for future requests. Our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions describe what is stored, where, and for how long.
