Troubleshooting Uncanny Agent

If Uncanny Agent isn’t behaving the way you expect, work through this list before opening a support ticket. Most issues fall into one of a handful of buckets.

I can’t see the Uncanny Agent tab in my WordPress admin dashboard

  • Make sure you have an active Uncanny Automator Pro AI + Automation plan or have Uncanny Agent usage available.
  • Make sure Uncanny Agent is enabled at Automator > Settings > Uncanny Agent.
  • Confirm Uncanny Automator is up to date. Uncanny Agent ships with recent versions of Automator; older versions don’t include it.
  • Some browser extensions (especially aggressive ad-blockers) can hide the Agent’s “Need a hand?” launcher. Try disabling extensions or testing in a private/incognito window.

The Agent panel opens but is blank or stuck loading

  • Hard-refresh the page (Cmd+Shift+R on macOS, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows).
  • Check your browser’s console for blocked requests—corporate firewalls or strict content-security policies on the WordPress admin can block Uncanny Agent.
  • Try a different browser. If the issue is browser-specific, an extension or setting in the original browser is the likely cause.

Uncanny Agent says I’m out of usage

Check the Uncanny Agent usage page. You may need to upgrade your plan or purchase a usage pack to continue using Uncanny Agent.

The Agent took an action I didn’t want

Two things to do:

  1. Undo what you can. Most actions Uncanny Agent takes (creating a recipe, publishing a post, etc.) can be reverted from the standard WordPress admin. Uncanny Agent won’t revert work for you unless you ask it to.
  2. Tell Uncanny Agent what went wrong. A message like “You shouldn’t have published that post — please move it back to draft and don’t publish again unless I ask you to” both fixes the immediate problem and shapes the rest of the conversation.

For long-term feedback, use the 👎 button on the response and add a note about what went wrong.

A recipe Uncanny Agent built isn’t running

Uncanny Agent builds the recipe, but the recipe is then executed by the Recipe Builder like any other recipe. If a recipe isn’t running as you had hoped, it’s usually a recipe configuration issue rather than an Uncanny Agent issue.

Try:

  • Confirm the recipe is published (not in draft).
  • Open the recipe and check that all triggers and actions are green/valid.
  • Look at the Automator Logs page for errors.
  • Ask Uncanny Agent to investigate.

Uncanny Agent is hallucinating or repeating itself

Long conversations occasionally drift, especially when they cover multiple unrelated topics. The fix is almost always to start a new conversation. Click the menu icon in the top-left of the Agent panel and choose + New conversation.

I want to delete my conversation history

You can delete individual conversations from the conversation history sidebar (hover and click Delete). For a full account-level data request, see our Privacy Policy.

Still stuck?

If none of the above resolves the issue, click Give feedback at the bottom of the Agent panel and describe the problem. Include:

  • What you asked
  • What Uncanny Agent did (or failed to do)
  • A screenshot of the conversation, if helpful

Or follow the standard support route at the Request Support page.
